Summer holidays are a special occasion for kids as well, that's why choosing a destination is very important! You shall think of a placethat meets their needs but also allows parents to relax. Le Marche region offers the right compromise: you can practise many outdoor sports, have excursions or picnics, do cultural activities such as visits to museums, educational workshops and have a lot of fun. There is no shortage of things to do and see including the many cities of art, ancient villages, uncontaminated nature and food and wine events...not to mention the sea, with its beautiful beaches!

Here are some tips:

Dinosaur Park 'Le Pietre del Drago'
This Dinosaur Park is located in Matelica, in the province of Macerata. It is a unique outdoor place: fifty thousand square metres will bring you back in time to the Jurassic era thanks to the reproduction of 16 natural-sized dinosaurs. Picnic areas are available.

Kinderland Adventure Park
Located in the Catria Mount, this park is dedicated to acrobatic sports such as climbing, wall climbing, adventure trails, slides, springs and much more. There are plenty of activities also during the winter period: skiing, downhill by sled, snow treadmill and much more.

Quercus Park
It is located in Ripatransone in the province of Ascoli Piceno. It is ideal for those who like outdoor walks in contact with nature. Actually it is a natural park with oaks and a very thick underbush suitable for explorations. There is also a path to be crossed while suspended high up, between one tree and another in full safety. Children are tied with ropes and carabiners.

Natural parks
Among the most popular destinations there is the park of Sasso Simone and Simoncello in Carpegna, offering itineraries and a creative playground for the youngest. Here you can enjoy a variety of typical local products. The Frasassi caves located within the park of Gola Rossa are underground karst caves which have created over the times truly incredible natural sculptures. The Natural Park of the Conero Mount with its beautiful beaches and the Park of the Sibillini Mountains are also a must for those visiting Le Marche region.

Carpegna Park
Always thinking about nature itineraries, you can visit the Cantoniera, a very extensive meadow with games and areas equipped for outdoor dining within the park of Carpegna Mount. The view is breathtaking!

Amusement Parks
There are three water parks in the province of Macerata: VerdeAzzurro in Cingoli, Malibù Acquapark in Porto Recanati and Eldorado Park in Apiro. All of them are dedicated to children with swimming pools and water games. There are also sunbeds and hydro-massage pools for adults ;)

Zoo Park in Falconara
The Zoo of Falconara guests many animal species: tigers, lions, giraffes, monkeys, iguanas, hippos, birds etc. Children can come into contact with animals through guided tours. Areas for relaxing and areas with swings and slides are available.

Museum of Balì
This wonderful museum dedicated to science is located in Saltara, a town in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino. It is housed within a charming villa dating back to the 18th century and here, both teens and children can participate in scientific experiments. There is also a planetarium with astronomical shows and an observatory.
