A few suggestions for some fun water parks between Le Marche and Emilia Romagna, two regions that have a lot to offer when it comes to amusement and relaxation for the whole family.
The Aquarium & Park “Le Navi” in Cattolica is the largest of the Adriatic sea with over 100 display tanks. Sharks, penguins, turtles and jellyfish are just some of the characters you'll meet during your amazing journey. Your visit will be literally an under water tour, starting from the Mediterranean Sea through the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Ocean up to the beautiful and colorful coral reef of the Red Sea, populated by unexpected organisms.
Let's go straight to pure fun: the Acquafan in Riccione! It is one of the first water parks built in Italy and it is the most famous complex on its kind all over Europe. It is located next to the motorway tool booth so it's also very easy to reach. Besides offering many classic water games (water slides, wave pool, lazy and quick river), this park stands out for its increasingly innovative and odd initiatives. Fun for adults, children and teenagers, including concerts, foam parties and special night events. Acquafan is quite busy, so I recommend you to plan your trip during weekdays trying to avoid long waiting times at the games. If you want to discover the fascinating sea world and everything concerns the formation of the Earth planet and evolutionary history of life, you'll find the entrance to Oltremare just a few steps away.
Mirabilandia, the biggest fun park in Italy, dedicates a wide area (36000mq) to the water park Mirabeach. Fine white sand, palm trees, sun umbrellas and a lagoon among many water games. A corner of Caribbean in the Emilia Romagana and you do not need any plane ticket to get there. If you haven't brought your packed lunch, you could choose between the various snack bars and restaurants available.
If you are spending your holidays in Le Marche get till the Conero Riviera on the seafront of Porto Recanati, there you'll find the Malibù Beach, a great water park where to spend full days of fun and relaxation with your kids. Swimming pools and water slides are not the only attraction: sports lovers will find tennis and soccer courts, beach volleyball and beach tennis courts. There are also equipped areas with video games, baby games and shows. There's no shortage of pizzerias and restaurants serving local food.
Drive more south in the province of Macerata to get to the water park Verde Azzurro, nestled among the green hills of Le Marche. This large water park has swimming pools, water slides for adults and kids, a great lagoon with jacuzzi area, water plays and snack bars.
In the province of Macerata you can also find this wonderful water park – Eldorado, located on the slopes of S. Vicino Mountain and the park of the Sibillini Mountains. There you can try the Big Twins - the longest water slides in Europe with motorized lift, or you can relax in the jacuzzi lagoon. The park is completed by green spaces, snack bars and restaurants, besides offering many organized events such as the Fitness day and motorcyclist, Ferrari and Harley Davidson meetings.
