Nature
If you love nature, Le Marche is the best place to go on holidays: meadows, hills, mountains, rivers, lakes and endless itineraries to walk through. Something you shouldn't miss during your visit: the Sibillini mountains that include the National Park of the same name, the mountains of Montefeltro covered in forests, the area of Cesane with its pine forest, the massif with the impressive Furlo Gorge, the mountains of Catria and Nerone, the Regional Park of the Red Gorge (Gola Rossa) and Frasassi or still the natural reserve of Abbadia di Fiastra. All this variety and diversity of landscapes give the tourist the opportunity to choose among different sports such as trekking, horse riding, cycling, climbing or even downhill skiing in winter.
Seaside resorts where to go on holidays in Le Marche
Those who prefer the sea could spend pleasant days at the beaches of the Adriatic coast, such as the northernmost ones of Fano, Pesaro, Gabicce, Senigallia and the beautiful Conero Riviera, down to the southern coast of the Riviera delle Palme, from Cupramarittima to Grottammare and San Benedetto del Tronto. In general, I can say that the beaches in the province of Ancona are the most beautiful and wild; even the paths to reach them are sometimes tough but I guarantee the view makes it worth the effort! If you're looking for something comfortable and quiet more suitable also for kids, I recommend the wide well-equipped beaches of Pesaro and Senigallia. There are also many sand or stones free beaches, for those who want to save a little. During the summer the beach resorts and the whole seafront become real night-life attractions with parties until the early hours and all kinds of street markets.
