When we're on holidays we want to explore, visit new places and taste the local specialties, but we don't always make the right choice! We often search for that nice little restaurant where to get good food without emptying our wallet, but sadly it's not so easy if you don't have the right recommendations!!! Le Marche hinterland is rich in farmhouses, inns and agriturismos immersed in the green, where tradition is the main ingredient.
Here's a list of restaurants, farmhouses and inns where you can have a meal without failing!
La Gioconda – Cagli
It's in the historic centre of the town and its atmosphere is truly unique and refined. Here are served gourmet meals with high quality products. Meat is their crown jewel!
Il ristoro del Passante – Cagli
Local cuisine with an excellent value for money. The restaurant is at about 5 minutes driving to the town centre.
Osteria Sant'Angelo – Cagli
It's behind the main town square and has the features of the typical family restaurant. It's pretty small but that's what makes it stands our for!
Agri campagna – Cagli
This agriturismo is located in the countryside, as its Italian name indicates. Cooking is traditional and characterized by simple and homemade dishes. A great place for good food at the right price.
La locanda del Pellegrino – Acqualagna
This inn is located along the road that connects Acqualagna and Urbania. During the summer you can eat outdoor in the garden. Cooking is typical of this area but also offers delicious variants.
Chiosco dell'Abbazia – Acqualagna
If you want to eat homemade piadina...this place is a must stop! The kiosk is located within the Park of the Furlo Gorge and is surrounded by a garden with tables and games for children. In the immediate vicinity there's the wonderful Abbey that you can visit at any time.
Osteria del Parco – Acqualagna
The restaurant is in the town centre of Acqualagna and offers many different dishes, especially based on truffle which is a king product in this area.
La rocca di Cinzia – Fossombrone
You go up a little but it's really worth it! The restaurant is actually located in the citadel in an evocative location. It offers a prix fixe menu but I promise you'll have your belly full.
Agriturismo Casal San Sergio – Fossombrone
Immersed in the green with a unique panorama. This farmhouse is taken care to the last detail and as for cooking, there are excellent homemade dishes.
Il Barco – Fossombrone
Pizza is very special here, to see before believing!
Agriturismo Mulino della Ricavata – Urbania
When you get there, you'll immediately feel a bit of family. The peculiarity of this agriturismo are the products used for the preparations. The classic dishes of the local tradition are actually enriched with flowers and weeds. Again, there's a prix fixe menu.
Casa della Tintoria – Urbania
This restaurant is taken care to the last detail: porcelain, laces, doilies, pillows and shabby style furnishing. Well, that's an enchanted place! Dishes are of a unique taste and original.
Trattoria del Buon Gustaio – Urbania
This inn is located in a small street of the historic centre. Cooking is simple but of great quality.
Agriturismo Slowcanda – Piobbico
This is the typical stone agriturismo immersed in the green of Le Marche countryside. You'll breath a familiar atmosphere and as for cooking, it is made with local seasonal ingredients.
